Acting Chief of Police Morgan graduated from Brookline High School, received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Boston State College and a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Western New England College. Acting Chief of Police Morgan served three years active duty in the United States Army, Army Security Agency.
Acting Chief of Police Morgan was appointed to the Brookline Police Department in 1983. He was assigned as a Detective from 1987 to 1992 then promoted to Sergeant serving as a Patrol Sergeant and a Detective Sergeant until his promotion to Lieutenant in 1995. He was then assigned as Night Commander of the Detective Division until his promotion to Captain in 2003. Superintendent Morgan was assigned to the Service Division before being assigned Commander of the Detective Division. In 2009 he was appointed as the Department’s Police Superintendent.
Superintendent Morgan graduated from the F.B.I. National Academy in 1995 and the F.B.I. Law Enforcement Executive Development Program in Quantico, VA in 2012. He received advance training in homicide, narcotics and cold case investigations, incident command along with mediation and conflict resolution. Superintendent Morgan was previously assigned to the Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force.
